Alpaca & Llama Summer Camp

For Boys & Girls ages 7-14

A Unique Summer Experience Your Child Will Talk About For Years!

Introducing Camp Paca at Monaco Pines Alpaca Ranch. Camp Paca Campers will be exposed to learning and hands on participation daily in the following areas:

• Alpaca & Llama History

• How to properly and safely care for animals

• Animals nature and unique qualities

• Proper and safe handling skills

• Feeding and nutrition of animals

• Watering - watering with supplements and why

• Barn and pen clean-up

• Proper halter fit and haltering

• Proper leading techniques

• Confidence Course (obstacle) - why is the alpaca confidence course so important

• Techniques used in the show ring

• Learning about animal fiber

• Crafting with animal fiber

Camp Paca will run in 2-week sessions. Each session is limited to 20 campers. Camp Paca sessions are tailored to the ages of the children attending. All returning campers for other sessions will be learning advanced skills with the animals and the fiber.

At the end of each session Monaco Pines Ranch and the Camp Paca Campers with host a Camp Paca cookout for the parents. Camp Paca Campers will also put on a mock confidence course show with the animals.

Please make your reservations early as spaces are limited and will fill up fast. All sessions run Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm.

Session One - June 15th - June 26th, 2009 - $300.00 per camper

Session Two - July 6th - July 17th, 2009 - $300.00 per camper

Session Three - July 20th - July 31st, 2009 - $300.00 per camper.

Camp Paca Camper Fee includes 1 Camp Paca Tee-shirt, snacks and drinks. All children will need to bring a sack lunch daily.

Camp Paca Campers must wear close-toed shoes and old clothing that mom & dad don't mind getting dirty or possibly ruined.

Monaco Pines Alpaca Ranch is now taking registrations for all sessions.
